Intro to Amigurumi Workshop

Learn a new skill! This workshop will get you on your way to being a fan of amigurumi! 

 Description

In this 90-minute workshop, we’ll introduce you to Amigurumi, the Japanese art of crocheting small stuffed animals, usually through in-the-round construction. Designed for those with some crochet experience, or crocheters looking to learn a new skill, this workshop will get you on your way to being as big of a fan as we are! We'll get you started with a simple octopus pattern - our goal is to have you leave with the confidence to tackle your own amigurumi project, and if you need additional project support, you can always come back again for Quick Help or in a Bring Your Own Project class.

• Craft: Crochet
• Prerequisites: Single and double crochet. 
  
• Yarn + Class Materials: We'll provide a simple amigurumi octopus pattern in the workshop - you'll need worsted-weight yarn and a US H crochet hook. (Note: While you’re encouraged to bring your own needles/notions, we request that yarn used in classes be purchased at MFY.) . 
• Homework: Describe.
