The Freia Oscilla Hat and Cowl Kit is a beautifully rhythmic mosaic knitting project designed by Tina Whitmore. Inspired by the motion of slow, flowing waves, the slip-stitch pattern creates a dynamic, oscillating texture that shifts gently as you knit around each round.

Using only one color at a time, this mosaic technique produces a fair isle–like effect without complex stranded knitting, making it approachable for advanced beginners. The construction incorporates knit, purl, slip stitches, K2tog, and central double decreases (fully explained in the pattern), resulting in a warm, structured, and visually engaging fabric.
